Drone in Netherland Hinders Medical Flight Movement

A medical flight carrying a patient had to take a diversion and head back due to a fairly large drone blocking it midway. It was reported that the drone had come dangerously close to the air ambulance. Efforts were later made to track the owner of the drone. It was even revealed that there was only one man in the area who owns a drone. However, further investigations revealed that he was not flying the drone in question. The investigations are on to find out who the culprit was.

Medical Flight Summoned after Fridge Lands on a Man

The incident might sound a bit funny but it was not so for a man in Notting Hill Street in London. Although it was not clear how, witnesses to the event reported that a fridge had fallen on the man. Thankfully, the injuries were not life threatening. The city’s charitable medical flight service reached the man on time and he received appropriate care. He did not suffer any grave injuries.

Medical Director of REVA Awarded

The medical director, Dr. David A. Farcy, of REVA, which is a medical flight company, was recently honoured by Miami Beach Chamber of Commerce’s Pillar Board. It was in recognition the organization’s efforts, working closely with the first responders of the area. David, it is believed, is the first ever physician to receive an EMS award throughout the history of the program. He is the President of American Academy of Emergency Medicine (EM) and also the Chairman of EM Department at Mt. Sinai Medical Center.
