Out of Court Funds for Air Ambulance Charity

Published:

It is not always that solicitors get into action outside the judicial system. The talents of some go beyond the four walls of courtrooms. In fact, Neil Lloyd – MD of FBC MB Solicitors’ Firm – is involving himself in an adventurous feat beyond the Atlantic. He will be doing this to raise funds for Midlands Air Ambulance Charity.

Neil will take part in the Boston Marathon, which is considered the oldest competition of its kind in the whole world. It is believed to have started in the year 1897. Neil has been a part of various marathons earlier too. In fact, he aims to cut off 2 minutes from his previous attempt at the London Marathon, which stood at 3 hours and 12 minutes.

Motorcycling and Air Ambulance Charity

When asked why Neil chose Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, he was clear about his choice. Being an avid biker, Neil is aware that Midlands Air Ambulance Charity has come to the rescue of bikers earlier with their lifesaving services. The fundraising effort, through the marathon, is his way of showing gratitude toward the air ambulance charity. Besides, he pointed out that the medical flight service covers the same geographical area as his firm. He said the organization plays a crucial role in making him and his team feel safe.

Air Ambulance Charities Need Public Support

Neil highlighted the need for commoners to come together and support air ambulance organizations in the UK, where most of them rely on charitable contributions. He also pointed out that it takes about 10 million British Pounds every year to keep each such organization afloat. Midlands Air Ambulance Charity, it is reported, responds to about 12 emergency calls a day on average, which is no small task. A large part of the fund required comes from corporate sponsors and a small part from the government.
