A Dorset Woman Raises £10,000 for the Air Ambulance Charity that Saved Her

Published:

More than £10,000 has been raised for the charity, thanks to the efforts of a Dorset woman who had the air ambulance save her life after suffering severe injuries in an accident. The Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance raised the most money at Nutley Farm’s Christmas lights and reindeer experience the previous year, located close to Winfrith. The third time the event was held, which was organized by Anne Roots and her son Julian Hubbuck, raised a total of £26, 013 for the charity.

It is important to know that the region’s air ambulance services rely heavily on charitable contributions to stay afloat.

The Air Ambulance Rescue

In 2015, Anne’s horse and carriage overturned after being startled by farm equipment, and she was taken to safety by air ambulance. “My life literally passed before my eyes, and it was terrifying. I was having a good time one second and then I was being airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries, “She spoke. “Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance did an exceptional job, and I might not be here to tell the story without them.

The Reason Behind the Support

We keep helping them as a way of saying thanks and work to raise as much money as we can. I’m proud of the Nutley Farm team because they are all working to improve the lives of patients like me who may someday require such vital care. The farm gave Charles Hackett, CEO of Dorset and Somerset Air Ambulance, a check for £10,467.

He praised Anne and Julian for their “amazing” Christmas gift to the residents of Dorset and Somerset. The dedication of individuals like Anne and Julian ensures that we are there for patients when they need us the most because we receive no direct funding from the government or the national lottery.
