Takeaway Company Helps Air Ambulance Charity in its Own Way

Published:

An Oswestry takeaway is helping two local charities by requesting their customers to support at least one charity while ordering online. Such an initiative is the first of its kind. This initiative was started a couple of weeks back and is receiving donations by the generous customers.

Support for Air Ambulance Service Pouring in

Through its unique charity option, USA Fried Chicken’s website is offering a service to their customers where they can donate money to Midlands Air Ambulance or Hope House Children’s Hospices while they order food. The same is requested of the customers ordering in person.

Alex Sevim, who runs the business on Willow Street, told that the fundraising is getting a good response as the customers are being very kind with the donations. He wanted to start this initiative as the locals have been supportive to him and his family and because he wanted to show gratitude to his local community.

Donations raised to support the Air Ambulance Service

Recently, the Air Ambulance fundraiser, Maria Jones; and Hope House fundraiser, Lynsey Kilvert, were each given checks for their respective charities. The reason for the air ambulance service being chosen is that it depends on the support from the local community. By helping raise funds for the charity, the air ambulance service will be able to provide the vital services to the community and save lives.

It was revealed that, every few months, USA Fried Chicken will continue to gather the contributions of their customers and provide a check with the donated amount to the charities.

Alex also plans to hold a charity night later this year. This will give customers a benefit of 10% discount on their orders and the profits will be divided between the two charities – another great idea indeed.
